Baithakhana

Baithakhana is the room in front of an old Bengali house. Not the drawing room we are now used to; this is a place where people turned up in the evening and stayed longer than they meant to. The tea never stopped and the conversation did not have an agenda. Someone also had a harmonium and music and conversation blended seamlessly.

We are putting up one for a single evening at The Art Hive and you are invited to sit in it. Savour the music, the food and the Adda (conversation).
